Peachland Fire and Rescue Service operates out of one main firehall in Downtown Peachland (4401 3rd St.). Members respond from this location with various apparatus depending on the situation.

Engine 21
Description: 2004 American LaFrance Rescue/Pumper
Firefighter Positions: 8
Purpose: First-line firefighting initial attack vehicle, primary response vehicle for rescue calls
Equipment On Board: Waterous 1500 gpm. Compressed Air Foam (CAFS) pump with deck monitor
  8 person Custom Cab, 7 seat mounted scba's
  MSA Gas detector, Night Vision Goggles, Bullard Thermal Imager
  Firefighting hose, nozzles and other hand tools and equipment
  6000 watt remote control light tower
  First Medical Responder equipment including FMR Bag, Oxygen kit. spine boards and other equipment
  Electric hydraulic pump with 2 hose reels
  Auto Extrication Hurst Jaws of Life, Cutters, Spreaders and 3 Hydraulic rams
  Air bags, 2 low pressure, 1 high pressure air bag with regulators and control box
  Sawsalls, glass saws and other rescue equipment and hand tools
  Technical High Angle Rope Rescue equipment. Complete set for low angle and over the bank rescue

Pumper 21
Description: 1986 Mack Triple Combination Pumper
Firefighter Positions: 5
Purpose: First-line firefighting initial attack vehicle, backup E-21 on rescue calls
Equipment On Board: 4773 lpm pump, 3636 litre tank, Monitor nozzle, 4 SCBA,
  13 spare SCBA bottles, 2000w Generator, 35' 3 section ladder,
  14' roof ladder, 8' attic ladder, PPV fans, ABC & C02 extinguishers,
  200M x 038mm, 200M x 063mm 305M x 100mm hose

 

Tender 21
Description: 1998 IHC tanker with 14100 litre tank
Firefighter Positions: 3
Purpose: Water supply and delivery vehicle, F/F transportation
Equipment On Board: 1818 lpm transfer pump, 2 x portable pumps,
  2 x 6819 litre porta-tanks, various fittings and couplings,
  60M x 038mm, 30M x 063mm 15M x 100mm hose
   

 

Bush 21
Description: 1977 4x4 Dodge
Firefighter Positions: 3
Purpose: Chimmney fire / Bush/Grass fire / FMR / Backup E-21 on bush calls
Equipment On Board: 1591 lpm pump, 909 litre tank, 3 SCBA, 4 spare SCBA bottles,
  45 litres AFF concentrate, 24' 2 section ladder, 14' roof ladder,
  Dry Chem & C02 extinguishers, ProPAK Class A foam kit,
  FMR III Jumpkit, Hard Collar set and medical Oxygen,
  122M x 038mm, 63M x 063mm, Hose Reel with 1"

 

 

Car 22
Description: 1990 GMC Safari Van
Firefighter Positions: 5
Purpose: Duty Officers vehicle, Incident command, F/F Transporation, FMR
Equipment On Board: Regional Radio, Chief's Turnout gear and command post equipment,
  FMR III Jumpkit, Hard Collar set and medical Oxygen
   Officers weekend standy-by bag (command post equipment)

 

 

Zodiac 21
Description: Hurricane Zodiac (14ft.)
Firefighter Positions: 3 plus (room onboard for patients sitting and on spineboard)
Purpose: Regional Marine Rescue (kept in water at Peachland Yacht Club April - September)
Equipment On Board: 2 - 40hp outboard motors, trailer, megaphone, 3 floater suits,
  2 life jackets, strobe light, first aid kit, small Honda pump,
  Regional marine radio
